DataCleaningTools provides free, web-based utilities for fixing messy spreadsheet data.

The site exists because nearly every growth, operations, and analytics project starts the same way: the data is a mess. Phone numbers in four formats, dates that sort wrong, duplicate records, and columns nobody trusts. Cleaning that up is the unglamorous first step of every real project, so the tools to do it should be simple and free.

CleanSheet, the free cleaning tool on this site, handles spreadsheets one file at a time: upload a CSV file, review the detected column types and before/after preview, and download a standardized CSV. The Dirty Data Generator creates realistic messy sample files for testing and demos.

The Data Engine, currently in private development, is the industrial version: automated pipelines that ingest data from government and commercial sources, validate every record against legal and quality checkpoints, keep a full audit trail, and deliver clean data wherever it needs to go.
